Happy Monday Great People!
I hope your weekend was restful, happy and peaceful. Over the weekend I was thinking about events that truly made me happy. I even asked my husband if he knew of a time or place when we truly had mind-blowing fun and was extremely happy. He wasn’t able to come up with anything either (he should’ve said our wedding day) LOL.
We talked about our trips out of the country, our family events, and weekend getaways, but didn’t get that feeling we were looking for. We wanted to say, yea remember that time we…Or, that was awesome when we…. Or, man didn’t we have a ball when….NOPE, we didn’t say any of that. Today I’m wondering what is true happiness? What makes something memorable? I’ve always JUST looked for a feeling when it came down to happiness. I think I’ve been depending on people and things to make me happy. I have this preconception of how I want things to be and if it doesn’t turn out that way then all has failed.
I’ll focus more on what went wrong instead of what’s going right. I’ve been doing this for years. I’ve cheated myself out of great memories with my family and friends. I truly want to have great times with them whether we are at home, out of the country, on a weekend getaway or just sitting on the porch. I have to live in the moment, stay positive, no preconception, open my mind and heart to LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE, GIVE and RECEIVE!
Happiness: More than simply positive mood, happiness is a state of well-being that encompasses living a good life—that is, with a sense of meaning and deep satisfaction. Are you missing out on happiness???
